The Biotex Collection is a range composed of either biodegradable fabrics or bio-based / bio-attributed solutions produced using 100% recycled PES yarn fabric (GRS Certified) and coatings obtained from non-petrochemical / fossil resources.
With remarkable offerings such as Biotex 300 GW, a PVC-free fabric with a bio-based coating derived from plant-based biomass, we demonstrate how this material saves 29% of CO2 emissions compared to equivalent PVC-free alternatives. This reduction is equivalent to a 250 mile car journey per roll.
The Biotex Banner, featuring a bio-attributed PVC coating derived from wood-based residue from the forestry industry, saves 30% of CO2 emissions compared to standard PVC banners, equivalent to a a 290 mile car journey per roll.
Additionally, the Biotex Mesh and Biotex Floor materials offer impressive sustainability advantages. The bio-attributed PVC coating derived from wood-based residue reduce CO2 emissions by 35% and 65%, respectively when compared to standard PVC mesh and flooring, emphasising significant strides in environmental conservation.
The Biotex range of materials are backed by cradle to gate Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and produced in Europe to further minimise carbon emissions.
Bio-attributed PVC, using bio-based ethylene derived from wood-based residue does not compete with the food chain. Global Warming Potential (GWP) can be significantly reduced, resulting in lower CO2 emissions.
